Teachers Day Speech
Good morning to the respected
teachers and my dear colleagues. As we all know the reason of nice gathering
here in such a huge crowd. We are here to celebrate Teacher’s day today and to
give them our heartily tribute for their hard efforts of making our and
nation’s future. Today is 5th of September and at this day we celebrate teacher’s
day every year with lots of joy, happiness and enthusiasm. First of all I would
like to thank my class teacher to give me such a big opportunity to speech here
at this great occasion. My dear friends, today on the occasion of Teachers Day,
I would like to speech on importance of teachers in our life in English.
5th of September is celebrated
as Teachers’ Day all over the India every year. Actually 5th of September is
the birth anniversary of the Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a great
scholar and teacher. In his later life first he became the Vice President of
Indian republic and then the President of Indian republic.
Students all across the country
observe this day to pay respect to their teachers. It is truly said that
teachers are like back bone of our society. They play a great role in building
up the characters of students and shape them to become an ideal citizens of
India.
Teachers teach students very
carefully and sincerely just like their own children. It is well said that
teachers are great than the parents. Parents give birth to a child whereas
teachers shape his/her character and make future bright. Thus we never forget
and ignore them, we always respect and love them. Our parents are responsible
for giving us love and quality care however our teachers are responsible for
making whole future bright and successful. They let us know the importance of
education in our life through their continuous efforts. They are the source of
inspiration to us which help us to go ahead and get success. They motivate us
towards study by giving examples of great personalities all over the world.
They make us so strong and prepare to withstand any obstacle of the life. They become
full of immense knowledge and wisdom using which they nourish our lives. Come
on my dear friends, say together that ‘our respected teachers we are always
grateful to you for all you do to us’. My dear friends we should always obey
our teachers orders and follow their advice to be the worthy citizens of India.
Thank You
Thank
you Speech for Teachers 1
Respected Principal, Teachers and
My Dear Friends!
First of all, I would like to
welcome you all to the occasion of our farewell day. I have been given this
opportunity to host the program today. Well, this is a very emotional moment
for all of us as we are getting promoted to a new life on the one hand; whereas
on the other hand we are also leaving behind our most favourite place, i.e. our
school where we spent the most significant growing years of our lives.
I would like to utilise this
moment to thank all our teachers who prepared us for the world outside. Our
teachers have been an epitome of strength and a great pillar of support to all
of us. They have been as strict as father and as loving as mother, equally
caring like a friend, a strict disciplinarian and yet always so approachable.
Our teachers are wonderful human beings because they have accepted all of us
with all the weaknesses and have worked upon us to overcome those weaknesses.
I still remember, I joined this
school in Standard V, when I used to be the shy and introvert person. I faced
difficulties in speaking in public and today, I am standing here to deliver the
farewell speech. This is all because of the great and loving teachers I came
across in this school. They never left any stone unturned to change my
personality and attitude. Needless to say, they have worked on me even more to
prepare me for the outside world. A teacher is essentially a mentor and a role
model for the student. The student believes in the teachers and every word they
say. They are noble and selfless people coz they accept each of their student
wholeheartedly without any bias and favouritism.
My parents always say, that
school period is the golden period in everyone’s life and I realize it now when
I stand amidst all my favourite teachers and fellow friends to bid goodbye for
a newer world.
I would especially take out some
moment from this event to thank Ma’m X and Sir A for being my guide always and
showing me the right direction and path to walk on. It was more difficult for
me than the other students to accomplish the projects and tasks you assigned to
us. You both have spent extra hours and shown special care to me in order to
prepare me for the ‘real world’. I still remember the day in Class XI, when I
had given up and lost all hopes; both of you encouraged me in your own special
way and shared examples of great people who failed in the beginning and later
became famous people.
You taught us to be persistent
and chase the dream without compromising on small issues; that was one of
several lessons I have learnt from all of you. I am sure, all my friends would
like to share the word of gratitude with our loving teachers, as we have always
been very grateful to all of you.
I thank all the teachers,
Principal and all other staff on behalf of the fellow students and myself.
Thank you for being an
indispensable part of our lives!
Thank you Speech for Teachers 2
Respected Principal, Respected
Teachers and My Dear Fellow Students!
Today is a very emotional
moment for us as it’s the last day of our school and after this event most of
us will choose different paths in life. This event is organised annually,
giving an opportunity to each one of us to thank each other, exchange contact details
and promise each other to stay connected as long as possible; but I am a bit
more lucky to get an opportunity to host this programme.
This is a special occasion for
me and I am going to utilise this platform to thank the entire institution for
nurturing me with so much of love and care. I would especially like to thank
the teachers who have worked so hard towards educating us and transforming us
from a raw to a mature and sensible individual.
I know, my life is going to
change soon as I am moving to a new world entirely, where I’ll have to make my
own decisions and there will be none to guide me with so much of intensity as
my teachers have guided me so far. But I am sure, the lessons that I’ve learnt
from my teachers here would remain forever with me.
A special thank to the
Principal Sir, who trusted me and allowed me to take admission in this school
even though I was late by almost 2 months due to some family mishap. This
school for me is like my first home as I have spent most of the hours of my day
here.
I can’t thank enough Miss A for
taking care of me like a mother does to her child. There have been times when
I’ve lost the hopes and she has scolded me like a mother, supported me like a
friend and guided me like a mentor. Ma’am, you have not only built up my
confidence, but have also taught me to be strong. You have prepared me for all
the future battles and struggles. My life with you and under you has taken the
best shape it ever could and I am going to miss you forever.
I would also like to thank our
PT Sir, who has been very particular about the physical fitness and would not
let us miss the class. Sir, though you have taught us the benefit of healthy
living and physical fitness, but the best lesson I’ve learnt from you is about
the time management.
While I’ve got the occasion to
thank all my teachers, I can’t miss this moment to thank Miss B, our Arts
teacher. For a bland person like me, she introduced ‘arts’ as sunshine. I could
literally never even hold a colour pencil right, while she pushed me to win the
drawing competition in standard VIII. Truly thanks, Ma’am.
This entire school is a
treasure of knowledge for me and I’ve cherished each and every moment I’ve
spent here. Though I am going to be physically away, I will always carry in my
heart, the love, care, attention, blessing and teachings I’ve got from here.
Once again, thank you to all my
teachers!
Thank You ABC School
Thank you Speech for Teachers 3
Good morning respected principal,
teachers and my dear friends.
I, on behalf of the entire
school management welcome you all to this special ‘Teacher’s Day’ assembly
session today.
Thank you so much to all the
teachers present here in this school. We as students have been able to uplift
ourselves just because of your love, care, guidance and support. Each of our
teachers has been the motivation spirit for us in all respects. Being a teacher
is a big time job. It is not limited to only that few hours of teaching in the
classroom; it is much more beyond those hours. From preparing the teaching
contents (before coming to the classrooms) to prepare the test papers; and then
to conduct special mentoring sessions for their students. Everything that a
teacher does is commendable with due respect to the efforts they put in.
Being a grown up, now I have
realized that teachers play a very crucial role in the child’s life. Many major
lessons of life beyond the defined syllabus lessons and scripted books are
taught by our teachers only. They help us in building our friendship skills,
our communication skills, our writing skills, our overall gesture and
presentation skills, etc. Thanks to all the teachers for making us learn the
tactics of overall existence.
For any school or educational
centre to exist, it is very important for the teachers to be present there.
Without teachers, there is nobody to dedicatedly execute the education
practically for which these entities are built. For the morale upbringing of
the child, presence of teacher in the life is very important. Teachers help in
building the child effectively and efficiently.
We as students owe a huge
amount of love, care, affection and respect towards each and every teacher that
has ever been present in our life. I am obliged to have witnessed the presence
of such great entities in my life. Since my kids care school till this last
session of class 12th, I feel so content and complete when I look back on what
I have learnt. This learning is much more than the scripted books.
The courage and confidence
that’s built in me today is because of the wonderful teachers that have been a
part of my journey. Thank you teachers acknowledging your efforts and
dedication towards the upbringing of a child are completely incredible. My
teachers have guided me like my parents and supported me like my friends.
Because of which, they today hold such a special place in my heart.
Thank you teachers for making
me a citizen that inherits a true character. This has been possible because of
the learning given by you. I respect you all for all the deeds that you have
done. Trust me existence of educational institutions without you people is just
a hollow building, and I am sure the school management agrees with my thought.
A teacher is by all means the most essential element in the schools. Thank you
so much to each of the teacher.
Thank you everybody for being a
part of this session. Please always stay connected to your teachers as they
surely have something excellent to make you learn. Thank you!
Thank you Speech for
Teachers 4
Good morning to all. It is a
pleasure seeing you all gathered here.
Today, through my speech I
would like share a token of thanks to all the teachers that have been a part of
my life.
Each teacher deserves
tremendous love, care, affection and respect. We all should acknowledge the
importance of presence of a teacher in our lives. They have made us capable of
who we are today, they have built our character and have made us realize the
path towards our dreams and towards the ultimate success. Our teachers have
enabled us to identify the things that are good for us, they have helped us in
knowing which path should we choose for.
Teachers are the strongest
pillars on which all these educational institutions are built. It is a great
achievement on being a teacher. You as individuals teach so many students and
add on to the upliftment of the society by improving the literacy rate of the
country. Teachers are a perfect blend of theoretical (educational) and
practical (life) learning.
Thank you teachers for being
the most essential inspirational source that has enabled us to be the person of
dignity. You have built our character and have showcased us the path of
success. You have try inspired each one of us to have dreams and have a focused
approach in achieving these dreams and goals.
You as teachers have helped us
brighten our future and made a person of true character because of the guidance
that you have given us throughout our journey. You have nurtured us with the
education and all the motivational learning. You as teachers have the power to
mold the generations and make them understand the value of everything. Teachers
tend to have a great emotional impact on the students due to which the learning
effect from teachers is more intact and effective.
Thank you teachers for all the
time that you spent on the students. Each of your small effort has made us
capable of leading a great life today. Words are few but feelings are limitless
to express our gratitude towards your efforts. You as teachers nurture so many
children and work towards inspiring and motivating them for their own self.
Presence of teacher is one’s life makes it more meaningful and drives his or
her intentions on to the right path.
Though a single day has been
dedicated or announced to praise the efforts of teachers; bit I would like to
say you all that this entity ‘Teacher’ deserves the round of applause and
appreciation every second. They are the ones who built the nation’s literacy
gap and nurture the great citizens of the country.
Thank you teachers for existing
in our lives and making it meaningful. You have been the parent at school. Your
presence in our lives has shaped our future for the betterment of our and the
overall country. Thank you for each and every thing that you have done.
Thank you! And, also a big
thank to the entire audience for hearing me and also sharing your views. Thank
you!
Vote of Thanks Speech
Honorable Principal Ma’am,
Honorable Manager Sir, Honorable Professors, Respected Parents and My Dear
College Mates!
Today we all are gathered here
for the celebration of the auspicious occasion of Teacher’s Day and as now we
have reached to the end of this beautiful celebration. I, on behalf of every
student in this college would like to propose a vote of thanks to all our
respected teachers who have a great role in making of our future bright and to
our managing committee for organizing such a great event and providing us this
opportunity. I am feeling very proud on giving this speech as a way of thanking
for my honorable teachers. There is a huge limitation of words in front of the
respect of the teachers but still I will try to express my views and thank all
the teachers.
As we all know that in India,
we celebrate teacher’s day on 5th September to mark the birth anniversary of
Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who was a teacher himself, our former president of
India, a profound philosopher and statesman. He wanted that his birthday should
be celebrated as “the teacher’s day”. On this day, a student has an auspicious
opportunity to thank his/her honorable teachers. Today many students had
performed poems, speeches, dance performances and many other performances as a
way to thank their respected teachers and it does indeed beautiful.
A teacher is not only a person
who teaches academic lessons to his/her students but he/she is also a guide for
a student. The word “GURU” is used for a teacher in India which is a Sanskrit
word and in this word, “GU” means darkness and “RU” means who removes darkness.
A teacher helps the students in each and every aspect of their life. They are
the future shapers of the students. They help students in achieving their
goals. Behind a successful person, there is a guidance of great teachers who
shows the right path to their students. A teacher scolds his students just to
make their future bright and their scolding is worthy.
We also cannot forget to thank
our parents because they have the most important role in every person’s life.
We all know that our parents are the first persons who we get as our first
teachers in our lives. They taught us how to walk and how to eat. Thus, I would
like to extend my vote of thanks to our respected parents for everything that
they did for us and are still doing. Without the guidance and love of the
parents it is very difficult to survive in this world.
I would also like to thank our
honorable principal ma’am and manager sir for providing us such great and
talented teachers and also for providing us lots of opportunities in the
college that helps in sharpening our talents.
On this note, I would like to
conclude my speech and extend special thanks to our honorable principal ma’am,
management committee, respected professors and respected parents for making
this event a memorable day for us.
Thank
you and I wish you all a great day ahead!
Speech on Teacher
Dear friends, respected
teachers and Principal Ma’am,
It is indeed so wonderful to be
here on the occasion to mark Teacher’s Day.
As we look back there is a
sense of nostalgia, of course, as we reminisce the academic institutions we
attended as we went from school to college and then to university and other
institutions of higher learning.
But at the root of it all is
the great sense of gratitude we feel for our teachers at every level of our
study and learning.
What would life have been but
for our teachers? They, who taught us the alphabets and then through all the
years of our study till we submitted, perhaps, our post-doctoral research work.
Education is so inter-linked
with teachers. And when we glorify education as the means of enlightenment,
emancipation and empowerment of people, men and women, we must really realize
that the possibility becomes a realization through the patience, love, service
and devotion of millions of teachers.
Go back in time and the person
you most fondly remember will be the teacher who taught you, perhaps at
kindergarten. That was the time when you, as a little child, left the comfort
of your home and parents and went into a completely new environment and started
to study and play with other children. And that kindergarten teacher was the
person who was loving and caring, making the initiation to learning less
painful, more comfortable.
As you grew up your teachers
also became your mentors, advisers, supporters, counsellors, sympathizers and
role models. And your teachers were persons who made you independent thinkers,
adventurous learners and inquisitive researchers. And they fostered you at
every step. Even when our teachers seemed harsh or tough with us it was to make
us strong and capable to deal with the reality most ably and most aptly that
awaited us in the world. We realized that later. And we were only overwhelmed
with gratitude.
These memories flood our minds
and hearts as we remember our dear teachers. Yes, indeed!
Years may roll on and time
flies, yet our teachers have a very special place in our hearts. That it seems
is the power of sharing. When teachers teach us it is really that they share so
much of their time, learning and life skills with us. Teachers are indeed so
generous, and that is what transforms the lives of students year after year.
When we come together on
occasions such as today to celebrate the lives and work of teachers, let us
determine to share, in our own way, something that we may be endowed with, with
those who may lack it. When we can do something akin to what our teachers did
for us, it would only make our teachers happy and proud of us. It may be one
way of saying a big thank you to our teachers.
Nothing can equal what our
teachers have done for us. But we can try in whatever small way we can.
Thank you!
Speech on Teacher
1
Respected Principal, Respected
teachers and my dear fellow Students,
It feels great to welcome you
all to this auspicious occasion; since we have gathered here to celebrate one
of the most admirable occasions i.e. Teacher’s Day, it’s an opportunity for me
to share few words about teachers, their role in schools and colleges and their
influence on the students.
Teachers are the backbone of
our society because they majorly contribute in shaping the future of a nation,
i.e. students and guide them in becoming an ideal citizen of the country.
Teacher’s job is full of responsibility and challenges because not every
student is same and thus the teacher has to be dynamic and adopt different
teaching patterns for different students. Teaching is a social practice and
more than knowledge, a teacher must be a good human being who can very well
shoulder the responsibility of his/her job and understand the sensitivity of
the situation where students from different backgrounds have come together for
learning and thus apply skills and knowledge to the best of his/her capacity
while teaching.
Some of the qualities which
every teacher must possess in order to become most acceptable are:
Enthusiasm – It
is a known fact that teachers who show enthusiasm while teaching create a
positive atmosphere and learning environment which help students in gaining
knowledge fast and with fun. These teachers don’t follow the uniform pattern
instead, they innovate teaching methods to keep the students engaged and
enthusiastic.
The most important role a
teacher plays is in motivating the students; some of the students find their
teacher to be a role model and try to imitate them. Thus it is very important
that the teacher leaves a positive impression on each student.
Interaction with
learners – It is very important for the teacher to indulge into transparent and
open discussion with the students in order to understand the capability of the
learner. Some students are shy, while other may be afraid of failure. A teacher
is highly trusted to build up the student emotionally and practically.
Conventionally, teaching is
considered equivalent to praying. In olden days, parents used to leave their
children in gurukul (a kind of residential school where students live with the
teacher for studies). This tradition was greatly supported by the trust and
bond between the parents and teachers. Even today, trust is one of the most
important factors which motivate parents to get their children admitted in a
particular school. A teacher is considered to be the alternate parents; this
makes teaching all the more challenging and full of accountability.
In recent days, we get to hear
a lot about corporal punishment. Some of the teachers get barbaric and beat
students so badly that some of them don’t even survive. This is highly
restricted in all over India. Though it is important for the teachers to be
strict sometimes but there can be alternate methods to punish the students than
harming them physically.
Well, I would like to end this
note with a huge thanks to our teachers who are so caring and compassionate. We
are highly honoured to be a part of this School.
Thank You!
Speech on Teacher 2
Good evening everybody!
I welcome you all to this grand
occasion. In our lifetime each of us has some or other teachers whom we
consider as our idol.
Alright, so today I would like
to talk to you about the one who lays the foundation of the existence of any
school – ‘The Teacher’. Teacher is that one entity who strengthens the
educational power of the students. They are the ones who link the students to
the school and vice versa.
While I was young, I always
used to associate my subject by the name of the teacher who used to teach that
and also more the favourite teacher, more the marks in that subject… Yes, it’s
a fact. Isn’t it, kids?
It is a proven fact that a
teacher’s job is not just a job but it has an impact on the growth and
well-being of the entire nation. Teachers play the most essential role in
delivering what is desired. They are considered as the backbone of the society
because they continuously contribute in building up the student’s characters,
shaping their future and also help them to become ideal citizens of the
country. A good teacher always inspires the hope, ignites the imagination, and
instils the love of learning within us.
It isn’t true that the teacher
works only when they have a class to address, before coming to the class they
have a long handed homework to be done, yes… believe me, they do have! They
need to be prepared for the topic to be taught, they have to get the tests
prepared, the exercises ready and all that To-Do list prepared before they actually
come on desk to perform their role. It is the responsibility of the teachers to
continue doing their hard work and go through a variety of material that
enriches their knowledge for the betterment of the society.
Teachers give us the moral
support and encourage us to live a quality life in the society. They have the
power to let the students understand the aspects of career growth, and future
prospects in their desired fields.
Teachers help a student to
shape their character and make their future bright. They enable us to stand
strong in this world by building us from within, by making us sensible and
knowledgeable so that we become capable of dealing with numerous challenges coming
our way and helping us succeed.
As a conclusion, I would ask
you all to always cherish the bond with your teachers. They are the ones who
have educated you and have put in the efforts to bring you up in this society.
We owe our respect and gratitude towards our teachers, they have empowered us
with education, they have nurtured us with their love and affection just like
our parents. Our respect makes them feel contended; they build the new blood to
be a worthy soul in this nation.
Teachers have always been
special and will continue to do so in all times to come.
Thank You!
Speech on Teacher 3
Our most respected teachers,
dear friends and students,
How may we express our
heartfelt gratitude to our teachers? Friend, philosopher and guide all rolled
into one. Yes, every teacher of ours has been just that.
Our teachers have facilitated
our scholastic abilities and aptitudes. They have helped us cross the
thresholds to possess the academic prerequisites to clear exams and qualify at
different levels in our academic pursuits. They have been patient with us even
as they got us grounded in the fundamentals of every subject. They have taught
us with love. And that has often lightened even subjects that we found very
tough.
But then our teachers have done
much, much more than that. And we have learned from our teachers in so many
different ways. Our teachers have guided us when we have faced difficult
situations and dilemmas. When we have been low, and down and dejected they have
been successful in raising our spirits and putting us right back on track. They
have loved us even when we played truant and were mischievous and played
pranks. They have offered us support in so many ways that made the process of
education enjoyable. They have striven hard to inculcate in us human values and
right ethics so that we may have a future guided by goodness and righteousness.
They have helped us seek the truth and live by it at all times. They have given
their time most generously, and offered advice most willingly. Isn’t it?
And naturally our teachers have
been our role models. We have always looked up to our teachers with respect,
awe and love. And we have always wondered if we could ever match up to them.
Right?
Really speaking, it may never
be possible for us to say all that our teachers have done for us and made
possible for us so that we may work hard, excel and have a bright and happy
future.
As we come together to thank
our teachers, we find words are insufficient to do that. Words seem to pale
before our teachers’ selfless service and devotion to the cause of educating,
enlightening and moulding our minds, hearts and lives in totality. Words can
never equal what our teachers have done for us with no expectation whatsoever.
Nevertheless, we have to resort
to saying verbally a thank you to our teachers which is, of course, backed by
our most sincere gratitude and deep love and appreciation.
Dear teachers, we want to say a
heartfelt thank you to you all. You mean so much to us. What you have given us
will help us go into the world for building our future.
All the beautiful flowers that
could go into making a fragrant and extravagant bouquet would whither after a
time, but dear teachers, our love and respect and regard for you for all that
you have done to bolster and buttress our strength, and courage shall remain
fresh always, in fact, will only grow and grow.
Thank you!
